I’m a little done with being sticky all the time. Or only being able to go for a half-hour run before I’m convinced that the air I’m breathing is really just transparent sludge.
But, in an effort to not wish away what remains of the summer, I’ll ignore it (or more likely, just shut up about it much to the delight of those around me).
Speaking of heat (heat not humidity!), thank you to everyone who came to the Adult Book Fair at Powder Hollow Brewery this past weekend. It was a pleasure getting to know a bunch of new readers and sharing a pop-up market with some pretty rad local vendors. Despite temps climbing into the nineties, the day was sunny and beautiful and the crowd at the brewery was absolutely rockin’.
If this sounds like a good time (I mean come on, books, brews (NA included!, and community?) there are a few more coming up this year, the next one being on Saturday, September 7th at Longview Ciderhouse in Southington, CT. Check out my events page for more info.

If you are looking for something new to read, might I suggest Horror Over the Handlebars? Released in June, this collection of short horror stories set in Connecticut hits home not only because I was born and raised in this tiny rectangle in New England, but because my story The Ghost Girl of Rocky Neck happens to be in its pages!
That’s all for now. Hope to see you at one of the events coming up. Be well, and stay cool!
